Hannya Necklace

Hannya are some of the most iconic figures from Noh theater. They represent women so consumed by their emotions that they lose their humanity and become monsters. We want to reclaim this image of women breaking social conventions and celebrate it as a symbol of female empowerment.

Necklace is laser cut on multi-layered birch wood and hand painted with wood stain and acrylic paint. Pendant measures 2.5" width x 3" height x .25" thick, hung on decorative wood beaded chain.

Hannya are available in White (Natural Birch Wood Stain) and Red (Sedona Red Stain)
